At Launceston College Sixth Form we pride ourselves on our pastoral support which helps our students to become happy, successful and responsible adults, ready to move on, with confidence, to the next stage of their life.

Dedicated Tutor Team

Our Tutor team work with you through the whole of your Sixth form career. They are experienced in working with the issues that arise for Sixth Form students and supporting your transition to adult life and assisting them to make the momentous decisions they face with assurance. They are knowledgeable in the requirements of applying for university, apprenticeships or employment and together with the unique Aspire Programme, they have a proven track record of helping students to achieve places in the top universities or with top companies.

Pastoral and Study Support

Within the dedicated Sixth Form block we have full time pastoral support and study support staff. They are there to work with you on a day to day basis to deal with problems that may arise in your studies and you personal life.

The Sixth Form block has specialist study facilities that are second to none. In room 16 there are 50 computers with all the software required by the courses on offer. There are also 3 other study rooms where you can complete written work or use our laptops if you wish to be more flexible.

If your issues are more personal then our pastoral support is there to listen and advise, there are areas where you can talk confidentially, and people with many years of experience to listen and point you in the direction of other help. Our tutor team and leadership team as also experienced in listening and helping.

Sixth Form Leadership Team

Our office is within the Sixth Form block and we try to always have an ‘open door’ policy. We are here to support you and to ensure that academically and pastorally you can have all the support you need.
