Adventurous Learning Week 2026

Adventurous Learning Week (ALW) 2026 runs from Monday 29th June - Friday 3rd July 2026 and will involve all students in Years 7,8 and 9. It’s a fantastic opportunity for your child to engage in an activity they love or try something completely new. It’s also a great chance to meet new people.

Please read through the brochure with your child(ren) and choose three options that your child will enjoy and that are affordable for you. We will endeavour to allocate one of these choices to your child for the week. This year we have a wide range of activities with a wide range of budgets so there should be something for everyone.

There are limited numbers for each activity and although we will try our best to accommodate every student's choices this may not always be possible, we will also not be able to guarantee that your child will get a place in the same activity as their friends. If an activity is undersubscribed it may have to be cancelled. Places will be allocated to ensure as many trips can go ahead as possible. Please note any students who we have not received a completed form from will be allocated a space on one of the free activities.

The form will open for completion on Wednesday 3rd December at 6pm and close again on Sunday 7th December at midnight. Please ensure you complete a separate form for each child. You can only complete the form once per child, any later submissions will be disregarded.  If you wish to discuss changing options please contact kpenhale@launcestoncollege.uk

Shortly after the form closes we will start to allocate places and inform you of your child's activity. Deposits for the activities will be due by Monday 5th January 2025 so please bear this in mind when making your choices. All other payment due dates and amounts are below. All prices have been carefully calculated on the quotes given to us at this time, if our providers increase costs we may need to increase the cost of the activity.  Some activities require a substantial deposit, which reflects the costs invoiced by our providers. Unfortunately, if a payment is not received by the relevant deadline, we may need to remove your child from the activity.
