English Revision Guides

You are very lucky to have been given bespoke revision guides by your English teachers. Our guides are helpful because:

  1. You have limited time and several subjects to revise for. Our guides focus on the most essential content that you need in order to pass. Learn this content to give yourself the best chance of passing.

  2. The best way to revise is to self-quiz. Our guides contain hundreds of quiz questions that you can use to test yourself. Self-quiz, self-check and self-correct to get the most out of your revision time.

  3. It is very hard to find good example essay questions and good essays online. We have selected the top 10 essay questions and provided example essays. Use these to guide your essay practice.

You are so lucky to have been given these guides, created specifically for your school. Most students across the country don’t have access to these!

How do I use the guide?

Complete at least one full page of self-quizzing or essay practice every day between now and the exams.

Which guide do I use?

If, based on your mock grades, you’re currently not securing a Grade 4 or 5, you should use the English Literature Core Knowledge Revision Guide and English Language 5+ Revision Guide. This gives you the most essential knowledge you need in order to pass your exams.

If, based on your mock grades, you’re securely achieving Grade 6 or above, you should use the English Literature Grade 7+ Revision Guide and English Language Grade 7+ Revision Guide
